Beetroot


Description

Beet is an edible root vegetable. It can be eaten boiled either as a cooked vegetable or cold as a salad either alone or combined with any salad vegetable. Beetroots are used as red food colourants e.g., to improve the color of tomato paste, sauces, jams and jellies, icecreams. Beetroots are also used as a treatment, especially illness relating to digestion and blood.
